2. Information We Collect

2.1 Personal Information

• Full Name — collected during registration and profile setup
• Email Address — used for account creation and login
• Phone Number — used for account verification and profile
• Profile Photo — optionally uploaded by the user

2.2 Location Information

Real-time GPS Location — collected when you:

• Request SOS emergency help (shared live with response teams)
• Register a house number
• Use maps and navigation features

Location is only collected with your explicit permission.

2.3 Device Information

• Device Token (FCM) — collected for push notifications
• Device Info — OS version, device model for app diagnostics

2.4 User-Generated Content

• Photos — uploaded via Public Eye reports or house number registration
• Voice/Audio — optionally recorded for Public Eye reports
• Written Messages — submitted via Public Eye reports

2.5 Authentication Data

Google OAuth Token — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google. We do not store your Google password.

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to anyone. We may share your data only in these cases:

• Emergency Response — your live location is shared with KMC emergency response teams when you trigger an SOS request
• Legal Requirements — if required by Nepali law or court order
• KMC Internal Systems — data is processed within Kathmandu Metropolitan City government systems only

6. Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored on secure servers operated by or on behalf of Kathmandu Metropolitan City
• We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized KMC personnel only
• We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as required by government record-keeping obligations

7. Location Data

Location access is required for:

• SOS emergency help requests (real-time tracking shared with responders)
• Registering house numbers on the map

You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Revoking location permission will disable SOS and house number features.

8. Children's Privacy

Connect KMC is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — update or correct your personal information via the Profile screen
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw Consent — revoke location or notification permissions at any time in device settings
